Christopher Eccleston - The Ninth Doctor Retrospective (2005)
DOC-METER
Although retaining the absent-minded freewheeling nature of the character, the Ninth Doctor is a natural soldier, excellent at improvising a defence strategy on extremely limited resources. The Doctor carried a deep trauma from his participation in the Time War throughout his tenure, only remembering how to care about himself at the very end of his life.

The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances

SCREWDRIVER
A small, silver one with a cracked mid-section, a black bottom part and blue LED light.
COSTUME
A shiny, black leather coat and a variety of long-sleeved shirts underneath(all muted colours such as green, brown, beige)
WORST STORY
Aliens Of London/World War Three
WORST COMPANION
Adam Mitchell
WORST ENEMY
I was never really a huge fan of the Autons.
OVERALL ERA
Given that Eccleston only had one season, the strongest aspect of his era is its consistency. There was simply never any time to deviate, it's one concrete, serialized story. The quality is very high and it's all wrapped up very neatly at the end. If I had any criticisms, it's that he was largely Earthbound and never visited an alien planet. But I don't think that takes away from the strength of his character. It's still one of the best seasons of Doctor Who. Who knows how good the Ninth Doctor would be if he had more episodes to develop further, but what we got was pretty great.
